A new global study by Rockwell Automation reveals that workforce challenges are a major concern for Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) manufacturers. The “State of Smart Manufacturing Report: CPG Edition” highlights the industry's efforts to harness emerging technologies to address these challenges and improve operations.
The study, which surveyed 158 leaders from CPG manufacturers, shows that the sector is increasingly focused on using smart manufacturing technologies to maximize workforce potential, improve planning, and reduce risks. One alarming finding is that the manufacturing sector could face up to 2.1 million unfilled jobs by 2030 if current workforce issues are not addressed.
