CMA CGM Launches New French Peak Service

Seven additional vessels will sail bi-weekly from China to Europe and the Mediterranean

CMA CGM Group announced the launch of the French Peak Service, a special seasonal shipping line aimed at addressing the sudden rise in maritime transport demand between Asia, Northern Europe, and the Mediterranean.

The service will operate from June 30 to early September, deploying seven additional vessels, each with a capacity of 7,000 TEUs (Twenty-foot Equivalent Units), with bi-weekly departures from China to destinations in Northern Europe and the Mediterranean.

This service will increase available shipping capacity by 25% on a highly demanded route, aiming to alleviate pressures on maritime transport and support the needs of French importers and exporters. The French Peak Service demonstrates CMA CGM’s ability to adapt to market demands and assist in managing supply chain disruptions.

Route Information

The service will alternate routes every 15 days:

  • Route 1: Yantian – Vung Tau – Singapore – Le Havre – Antwerp – back to China.
  • Route 2: Shekou – Vung Tau – Singapore – Fos-sur-Mer – Malta – back to China.

The first departure will be on June 30 from the port of Yantian with the vessel APL Oregon.
