Locus Robotics has announced a significant achievement by its partner, DHL Supply Chain, reaching a monumental milestone of 500 million picks using LocusBot autonomous mobile robots (AMRs). This milestone highlights the impact of Locus Robotics’ technology on enhancing productivity and operational efficiency across fulfillment warehouses.
The 500 millionth pick occurred on May 1, at DHL’s facility in Toledo, Spain, where a LocusBot retrieved a consumer home goods product. Starting from the first 10 million picks, which took 2.5 years to achieve, DHL rapidly accelerated, achieving the next 100 million picks in just 28 months. The final 100 million picks were completed in a mere 154 days, showcasing the exponential growth of Locus’ AMR technology.
“Locus Robotics has been a trusted partner in this effort, significantly improving productivity, accuracy, and employee ergonomics across our global network,” said Sally Miller, Chief Information Officer at DHL Supply Chain.
With LocusBots operational at over 35 DHL-managed sites worldwide, the partnership continues to set new benchmarks for efficiency in the logistics industry. “We are proud to play a pivotal role in DHL’s success and look forward to more milestones as our collaboration evolves,” added Rick Faulk, CEO of Locus Robotics.
