Körber (Booth C7875) is bringing a single solution for the integration of technologies across the warehouse to Modex with its Unified Control System (UCS).
As the supply chain industry increasingly adopts fulfillment technologies across the warehouse, warehouses are challenged to operate cohesively with solutions often detached from companies’ surrounding logistics. The UCS provides one solution that leverages warehouse management system (WMS) data to analyze inventory and order information and automatically allocate tasks to autonomous mobile robots, people or materials handling equipment, based on their suitability, destination and current workload.
“Supply chain executives consistently name software, hardware and technology integration as one of their top five challenges,” said Sean Elliott, EVP and CTO Software at Körber Business Area Supply Chain. “The unique capabilities of Körber’s UCS enable tailored deployments and streamlined order fulfillment with an array of technologies—all in one place—to best support warehouse operations. This results in increased throughput, improved ROI and reduced operational complexity and system cost.”
The first-of-its-kind solution optimizes inbound and outbound fulfillment workflows and works with technologies such as AMR, voice and mixed portfolios of materials handling equipment.
