Coyne Airways First to Offer Dangerous Goods Booking via WebCargo

The partnership expands WebCargo's reach in key regions, providing forwarders with real-time rates and booking capabilities for hazardous cargo

Coyne Airways has become the first carrier to offer dangerous goods bookings through WebCargo by Freightos, a digital booking and payment platform for the international freight industry. The partnership expands WebCargo's reach in Africa, the Gulf, and the Caspian regions, providing forwarders and airline partners with seamless access to real-time rates, booking, interline, and payment solutions for hazardous cargo.

Coyne Airways, which specializes in air cargo logistics, is known for establishing routes to destinations with limited global coverage, such as the Caucasus, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Sakhalin Island, The company currently focuses on services in Africa, the Gulf, and the Caspian regions.

“With Coyne becoming the first carrier to provide dangerous goods booking on WebCargo's platform, they continue to lead in innovation, expanding access and streamlining logistics for forwarders globally,” said Julien Triay, Sales Director for WebCargo.

Liana Coyne, Director at Coyne Airways, expressed her excitement about the partnership. “We are thrilled to partner with WebCargo by Freightos to bring our air cargo capacity to a broader audience. This collaboration reflects our commitment to innovation and enhancing the customer experience. By offering real-time rates and booking capabilities, including for dangerous goods, we are providing our customers with the tools they need to optimize their logistics operations.”

According to Coyne Airways, the carrier links major airports in North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia/Pacific to regional destinations with previously limited services through African hubs in Lagos, Dakar, Nairobi, and Johannesburg. The carrier's Caspian network includes services to Aktau, Atyrau, and Uralsk in Western Kazakhstan, with connections further east, and weekly flights to Ashgabat, Baku, and Yerevan via a central hub in Tbilisi.

For the Middle East, Coyne Airways has interline agreements linking North America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Oceania with its Dubai hub. It also offers export services from Afghanistan and Iraq to destinations worldwide, catering to both small shipments and large full aircraft moves. Additionally, Coyne provides a sea-air service for shipments into and out of Afghanistan, utilizing sea routes to Dubai before flying into Afghanistan, thus avoiding challenging land routes.
