Food Chain Digest, the official magazine of the Food Shippers of America (FSA), has announced the recipients of the 2024 “Top Food Chain Technology” list. This annual program recognizes exceptional technologies in food transportation, logistics, distribution, and supply chain management.
“Technology is shaping today's food chains by creating more transparency and efficiencies,” said Brian Everett, group publisher and editorial director of Food Chain Digest. “Supply chain technology is particularly important as platforms, applications, and innovators help to proactively avoid or navigate disruptions in the food industry. This recognition program highlights technology leaders that are readily available as resources and solutions to food shippers.”
Now in its third year, the program aims to serve as a resource for food shippers looking to leverage new technologies in their supply chain strategies. Nominations were reviewed by the staff of Food Chain Digest and audited by the Food Shippers of America. Candidates were required to be pure technology providers or offer standalone solutions outside of traditional third-party logistics offerings. Nominees needed to have a minimum annual gross global sales of $5 million and demonstrate how their solution helped a food shipper achieve a critical business goal in the last 12-18 months.
This year, the industry voting process was limited to supply chain professionals within the food industry, including manufacturers, retailers, and distributors. Companies that received enough votes or met additional qualifications were named to the list, which is published by Food Chain Digest.
